Hexi Trivet Pattern

Hello again!

Well, I'm back already with a pattern freebie for you! A couple weeks ago I was chatting with Erin from Dog Under My Desk on twitter all about pattern designing. I'd been admiring her blog and her patterns ever since I saw her Two Zip Hipster being reviewed on How About Orange. (I've made that bag at least 5 times!! It's an awesome pattern). Anywho, Erin gave me the idea to design a pattern for something small to give away on my blog. Little did I know designing a potholder would be so involved! What started out as a simple idea turned into a full out step by step tutorial for foundation/paper piecing and binding. I hope you'll download and enjoy the pattern and I would really love to see all your potholders in my flickr group! Just think if you start now you could make one for everyone on your Christmas list. A set of these would also be the perfect add on to a bridal shower gift.

Coming Soon.... Hexi Potholder {free pattern}

Hello!

Just stopping in this morning to show you a little sneak peek of what I'm working on. I had so much fun designing my Chevron Accent Throw (lap quilt) and have been thrilled at how many of you have purchased the pattern already that I decided to put together a free pattern for a Hexi Potholder. Today I'm putting the finishing touches on the word document and then will convert it to a pdf for you to download. It's taking a lot longer than I thought. At first I had 47 pages of photos and instructions... that's wayyyyy too long for a potholder!! Now I've gotten it down to 13 pages, which still seems like too many pages! I like to write my patterns tutorial style, so even if you've never done a certain technique before, you can still do the project!

I'll let you know when the pattern is ready for download... hopefully later today!
