{ coming soon... product review }

Hello again!

I am so excited to have been chosen to review yet another product for CSN Stores. In May I was given the opportunity to review any product in the $100 price range and I chose a Kitchen Aid Dutch Oven in my favorite color - pesto green! My order arrived (in Canada) in record time and was delivered right to my door by a courier. I have been very pleased with the customer service at CSN Stores as well. I emailed a few times with questions about products and shipping and was always replied to within the same business day. You can't ask for much better than that! I am not sure which product I will choose this time. I know they have dining room tables and it would be nice to have a new one. Maybe they'll have just the right one on sale! Otherwise I will most likely choose another kitchen item, or possibly a pair of shoes for my daughter.

I am rather fond of these gorgeous le Crueset baking pans! Please stay tuned to see what I pick out. And, feel free to leave a comment suggesting what I should order!

Enjoy this beautiful June day.

{ summer is officially here }

So, what have you been up to? Today I am celebrating the last day of school for my girls! By the end of the school year we are always so happy to be done. I love the lazy days of summer with no more routine. It's time to sit back and relax by the pool, take walks by the river and go on road trips here & there.

I'm sure there will be lots of time in there to work on my latest quilt, the Pinwheel Sampler. I'd also like to start crocheting an afghan for a new baby that will be born soon, but do I buy pink or blue yarn? That is the question.

Let the summer begin!

PS. I am very excited to have recently joined Weight Watchers and am thinking about blogging my progress as I go along, but for now I'll share a nice refreshing recipe with you:

Crystal Light Slushie

Fill your blender with ice cubes.
Add cold water to the 6 cup line.
Add one packet of Crystal Light (my favorite is the iced tea).
Blend until... blended!

Serve in a cute glass with a straw and a wedge of lemon if you want to be fancy.

Craft Racks!
Organize your craft supplies... one Craft Rack at a time!

{ mmm pesto }

May 19/10

I am now the happy owner of a brand new Kitchen Aid Cookware Cast Iron 3.5 Quart Covered Round Dutch Oven in Pesto! I ordered this beauty from CSN Stores online and within a couple weeks it was delivered to my door by Purolator. Being in Canada, it can sometimes be a pain in the butt ordering items from the US because of customs, duty, etc, but with CSN all of those fees are pre-paid so when your order arrives there's no additional bill to pay. It was painless and awesome! I would totally order from CSN again.

Now onto the pot... yesterday I had all these glorious plans to do a whole blog post with pictures of my Pesto Dutch Oven's inauguration. I was going to include the recipe with step by step photos like Ree's (ya right!! she is my hero. lol). I was going to show you how the dutch oven went from browning the pork tenderloin on the stove top, to roasting it in the oven with fresh cloves of garlic, thyme, cayenne and lots of freshly ground black pepper. And then there would have been pics of how gorgeous the finished meal looked on the table.

But alas, just as I was putting the meat into the pot, my daughter fell part way down the stairs and injured her ankle. :( So, off to the ER we went. The fancy blog post will have to wait for another day. Meanwhile, she is recovering well and is trying to get used to using crutches for the first time in her life.

PS. This blog post has been sponsored by CSN Stores.  I received a $100 gift certificate from them in exchange for blogging about them. I ordered this lovely dutch oven with my gift certificate. Thank you, CSN!!
