Bags :: Disappearing 9 Patch Tote for Clare

This is a nice roomy little tote bag that took forever to make. (not really) ;-) Over a year ago I made a "Disappearing 9 Patch" baby quilt top and then folded it neatly away in my cupboard and forgot about it. Last night I was in the mood for making a bag so I pulled out that patchwork and made it into this cutie.

The handles are made with Stampin' Up! grosgrain ribbon.

The cute little buttons came from a nice chick on freecycle. I attached them with DMC 321 embroidery floss. The bag is fully lined... the inside is just like the outside.

Tonight I am starting on a Garden Flower Pillow using this wonderful tutorial. Isn't it adorable?! What are you working on today?

Craft Racks!

Do you need help organizing your craft supplies?
Craft Racks can do the job!

  1. That is a cute bag...

I'm editing photos (what else is new) and finishing off a hat so I can start knitting a baby cocoon...

  2. good job... love that bag!
i'm not sure what i'm gonna work on. I know what I Should work on... i need to rip out some mistakes on a quilt wall hanging and finally get it done!

  3. I LOVE this bag! And what a great idea for the handles!! If I ever sew something besides a scrapbook page or card again, I think I'd like to try making a fun little bag for myself. I had one from Old Navy once and it didn't look like it would be too hard to make... but the sewing machine is not usually my friend!!!

Hmm... what am I working on? I SHOULD be working on cleaning up my craft area so that I actually CAN get something done in there... but I think I am going to shut down the computer and go watch some TV with my hubby!!
