Bags :: Amy Butler In Town Bag }

Last week my youngest daughter and I had pleasure of taking a leisurely afternoon to go shopping together. After we browsed 4 sewing stores, I treated her to a fancy cupcake at Tracy Cakes Bakery in Abbotsford (just down from Quilt Essentials). At Quilt Essentials I picked up a couple of Amy Butler bag patterns and a couple of cute fat quarters. One of the patterns was "in town bags". I love that it comes with two patterns for one price! Woohoo.
So, here is the drawstring purse that I made today from the in town bags pattern. Isn't it adorable?! It didn't take too long to make either, which is nice.
The next bag pattern I'm going to try is Amy Butler's Swing Bag!

Do you need help organizing your craft supplies?
Craft Racks can do the job!

  1. Cindy, that is beautiful! I have the same pattern and have made it several times. I also enlarged the handbag part of the pattern (by hand of course!) and made that bag also. I needed it larger to hold my huuuge wallet.
    Have a great evening!
    Blessings, Kimberly
