{ stitchery }

Click photos for a close up view!
Good Morning,

So, here's what I'm working on! Several weeks ago Rhonda and I went shopping at a couple of nearby quilt shops and I picked up this Crabapple Hill Winter Wonderland Pattern. I'd seen this quilt displayed in a few different stores before and absolutely loved it so, of course, I couldn't resist buying the pattern! The white fabric (purchased from Fabricland on sale - woohoo) is perfect for a snow man quilt because it has neat swirlies on it that remind me of snow. Now I am on a quest for bright red & white prints to complete the patchwork portion of this quilt. So far I haven't had any luck finding any. All the stores I've asked at say they only bring in red for Christmas! What's up with that? Red is a great color anytime of the year. Does anyone know of a good/reputable online place to order red fabric from? (somewhere with reasonable shipping to Canada).

Close up of my stitching. I like to embroider with stem stitch.

Here's a few patterns & kits that I purchased at the Sewing Expo that was at the Tradex in Abbotsford last weekend. This should keep me busy for awhile! The embroidery floss was purchased at my local yarn shop. The adorable little hangers were from the Crafty Secrets booth. Everything else was from the Quiltopia booth!

  7. thanks for stopping by my blog. I bought the crazy eights pattern and two cute little bundles of fabrics (just like yours but in blues) at the same booth at the show! Small world, eh? I haven't opened up my pretty bundles yet since it's a project for me and I'm too busy finishing up my projects for others first. Isn't that the way it always goes?
