{ simply amazing }

You have got to check out the amazingly beautiful photography on this etsy shop! Most of the photos are "ttv" (through the viewfinder), which is a type of photography I had never heard of until I met Madelyn. They have a really cool vintage feel.

Her fine art photos are available for purchase in the form of note cards, and signed 8"x8" prints.

Madelyn's work can also be seen in the current issue of Photo Life Magazine's 'Showtime' Feature.

{ 1 of 5 }

Good Afternoon!

Yesterday I made a set of 5 cards and this is one of them. I started with the stamp... I've had 2 of these stampendous flower stamps for quite awhile and have never made anything I really liked with them. Then I picked the patterned paper, then watercolored the flower to coordinate with it, and chose card stock to go with the paper & the flower image. I used the sewing machine with a zig zag stitch to attach the patterned paper. To finish it off I color spritzed the flower image to dirty it up a bit.

Does anyone know of any legitimate work at home jobs or any jobs in Abbotsford with the hours of 9:00 am to 2:00 pm? :-)

{ a little hello }

I hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing weekend.

Here's a card I made this afternoon. I used the cuttlebug for the embossed background and also to die cut the flowers. I used a Stampin' Up! corner rounder to make the scalloped edges. The patterned paper is Heidi Grace and the card stock is Bazill.

Have a great week!

{ a monday card }

Wow, 3 days in a row! I must be on a roll or something. Here's another card I made using scraps of the Heidi Grace paper. Can you tell me what is weird about this card? :-D

Have a good day!!

{ table scraps }

Good Morning!

Here's a card I made last night using the scraps that were left on the table from my previous card. The circle dots are a Paper Trey stamp and the flowery thing is Stampin' Up!

Have a good Sunday everyone!

{ finally, I stamped }

I almost forgot how to blog. It's been awhile, eh? Here's a card that looks quick, simple & easy... but it took me 2 days to complete it! As you can tell I haven't been stamping much lately, but I am hoping to get back into the swing of craftin' & bloggin'.

We've had a good and busy summer going here & there around BC. So far we've gone to Qualicum, Terrace, North Bend, Merrit, Kelowna. Plus the girls did a week of VBS and Laura went to camp for a week... so there hasn't been much time for crafts over the last month! We should be home for awhile now and back into our usual routine. I hope to have something new to post every few days.

I finally decided to join Sarah's scrapbooking club so I'm really looking forward to that! It'll be so nice to get 2 12 x 12 pages done every month, plus it'll be fun to get together with everyone.

Card Details:

Card Stock: Bazill
Paper: Heidi Grace
Punches: SU & Marvy
Ribbon: unknown
Card size: 4x4
Stamp: Paper Trey
One thing that sucked about making this card: I had to cut the edges off this beautiful paper (both the bazill card stock and the heidi grace patterned paper) because all 4 corners were totally bent.
