{ great workshop }

Good Morning!

I'm so excited to share all the fun projects that were done at my workshop last night! 3 words to describe my SU demonstrator... creative, kind, generous! One of the nicest perks of hosting a workshop (with Sarah as the demonstrator!) is that you get to keep all of the projects she demonstrates!

When Sarah arrived she gave me this beautiful fresh bouquet of lavender out of her yard.

The next photo is one of the make & takes we did using one of the new "In Colors". I have to tell ya, I had no interest in this color UNTIL I actually used it! I love it now. :-) Sarah shared a neat technique for this one... to make a marker with the "In Colors" you just squirt a bit of the re-inker onto something and then soak up the ink with a blender pen. You would dedicate one end of each blender pen to a specific color and just keep re-inking it as necessary. This is how we colored the images for the make & take cards. The argyle paper we used is the new designer paper that's available in a variety colors. And here I thought I had enough patterned paper. ;-)

Sarah also let us make one of these little gift pouches! Isn't it cute? Just the perfect size for a pair of diamond earrings or a starbuck's gift card, etc. Don't you just love the little detail with the flower punch? So cute!

The next 2 cards are ones that Sarah demonstrated for us. Notice the lady bug on the Pick a Petal card? She made it out of a brad! It's adorable!

She also demonstrated this sweet 6x6 scrapbook page and included a magnet with it in case I wanted to add a photo to it and give it to someone to hang on the fridge - how thoughtful!

And the last photo is the hostess gift that Sarah gave me. It's a collection of the new "In Colors" card stock, some of the new chipboard pieces!! And some ribbon. And some large square envelopes! Very nice!

Thanks again Sarah for putting on such a nice workshop for us. I appreciate all the work you put into it!

And a big thank you to Jill, Aunt Shirley, Charlene, Jennifer and Lisa for coming/ordering! Thanks to you I get to pick out a Level 2 hostess set - very exciting!

Have a stampy weekend!

Cindy

  1. thanks Cindy, I had so much fun too! Looking at the Baroque Motifs card in Wild Wasabi and Chocolate... I am not crazy about the way I did the flourish. When I make that card again I will stamp the flourish before adding the patterned paper and then stamp it again over the patterned paper - get it? Then you won't have that gap between papers... oh well.... live and learn!! Great group you had there last night. Thanks so much for inviting me! I have to get the update on my blog too!

  2. Cindy, do you happen to have the template or directions on how to make the "diaper" fold card. I've been hunting for it and can's seem to find it. I would like to use it at an upcoming stamp camp. Thanks so much!
