{ Cheesy Macaroni }

Here's my version of macaroni & cheese from scratch. This is what we had for dinner tonight (with broccoli soup and steak, how's that for a weird combination?). Anyway, here's the recipe...

Cheesy Macaroni

Pasta, cooked

Saute in sauce pan
1/4 cup butter
1 tsp. olive oil
1 medium onion

Add
1/4 cup flour

Stir with a whisk until bubbly.

Add
2 cups milk
1 tsp. dried oregano
1 pinch nutmeg
freshly ground pepper
1/4 tsp. seasoning salt

Stir over medium heat until thickened.

Add
1 cup cubed cheddar cheese

Stir until melted. Pour over cooked pasta and heat through. You can also put it in the oven with grated cheese over top and bake or broil it, but I didn't do that this time.
