{ scrapbooking the day away }

Here's a beautiful 2 page scrapbook layout that I made over the last couple days of my daughter, Rachel. Most of the supplies I used on these pages were in my design team parcel from Stamp and Scrap Canada. Thanks Wendy!

The letters for "rachel" are chipboard letters that I've covered with patterned paper using modge podge. Please click on the photo if you'd like to see more detail.

I'm so happy with how this turned out. I wish I had some frames or something to hang these on the wall so I don't have to tuck them away into a scrapbook never to be seen again.

The large flowers are stamped and cut out, then I added some stickles to the centers to make them sparkle. I used a marvy uchida giga scallop oval punch and the coluzzle nested oval template to make peek-a-boo holes over the photos.

  8. Cindy , your pages are lovely! too lovely to tuck away in a book. I did a 12x12 for my sisters 50th anniversary and put it onto a canvas. I used modge podge to sick everything to the canvas and the three layers of the modge podge to protect it all whwen finished . My creation poudly hangs on my sisters wall in full display. was very pleased with the end result. I bought the canvas at the local craft shop . Just put them on your wall unframed (the canvas is actually stretched onto a fram already) hope this helps. Gerrie

  9. I echo the sentiments of those who have already posted comments...Rachel is gorgeous, like her Mom! And the chipboard letters with the patterned paper are excellent...did you just modge podge to adhere the paper to the board or did you also put it on top of the patterned paper? I used the LP frames from Michaels to display my bestest scrapbook pages..I noticed in this weeks' flyer that they are also displaying a scrapbook frame next to the LP frames for $8.

  10. Thanks for sharing over at CST, glad I decided to come and visit. Your layout is beautiful. I've been wanting to scrapbook for awhile now but the farthest I've gotten is sorting the pictures. After that I've been too chicken to try anything. You're work is inspiring!
