{ happy holidays }

Today I was reading on Splitcoast Stampers about the "$1 Stamps" you can get at Michael's... so, of course I had to check it out this afternoon after I picked up the girls from school. We had lots of fun digging through the bin of $1.50 stamps and the $1.29 ribbon!

The 4 stamps I used on this card were some of the ones I picked up today. The tree and the ornament have a greeting below the image, but I cut it off for this particular card. I stamped the images with Jet Black Stazon ink and colored them with the Stampin' Up! Watercolor Wonder crayons and an aquapainter. I used my large SU square punch and then the perfect layers tool to layer the images.

For the background I used Stampin' Up Linen with Real Red ink on a confetti white card. The stitched ribbon is from the $1.29 bin at Michael's and the bits of velvet ribbon are from Stamp and Scrap Canada. I finished off the card with a Stampin' Up! yellow star eyelet, some Stickles and two faux gems.

If you live in the Abbotsford, BC area and need some Stampin' Up! products, please email me!! I'm hosting a catalogue party right now... the order will be going in on Friday, November 10.

  4. I like how you used the Linen BG on this card, I never thought to try that. We don't have a Michael's in my area, boo, hoo. Anyway, love your card and your blog.

  6. Hi and thanks for visiting my BLOG. To answer your question, I find that I use my punches more often when I can see them. This may not work for everyone but for me (with very limited space) this does the trick.

  7. Oh, what am I missing on SCS??? I got a nasty virus last week in my computer and it won't let me in on some websites (SCS being one of them.)
