{ creating a photobucket slideshow }

Good Morning!

You may have noticed that I've installed a couple of little slideshows from photobucket.com on my blog. I'd love to know your feedback on them. Do they look OK on your computer? Do they make the blog load slower?

In case you're interested in putting one of these slideshows on your blog, here's the step by step instructions:

  1. Under one of my slideshows click "Get Your Own".
  2. Click "Join Now" and fill out the form with your info.
  3. Login to photobucket using the username and password that you just created.
  4. Upload images (click browse, it's in the middle of the screen, select a file from your computer and click upload). If you want to upload multiple files click on "Upload Options" and follow the instructions there.
  5. Once you have upload some images click "Slideshows" (near the middle on the left)
  6. Here is a very in depth tutorial on creating a slideshow: http://forums.photobucket.com/showthread.php?t=11410 (you have to first be logged in to photobucket to view this).
ETA: To install your photobucket slide show on blogspot you do this...

1. Login to photobucket.com
2. Click "My Albums"
3. Click "Slideshows"
4. Look where it says "TAG (Myspace, Ebay...):" then select and copy all of the code in the text box beside it.
5. Now sign in to your blogspot dash board.
6. Click on Template, Add Page Element, HTML/Javascript.
7. Paste the code from photobucket into the "content" box.
8. Click save
9. Click save again in your template area.

Hopefully that works for you! I just figured this out myself last night with the help of Stephanie.

I hope that helps!

  1. love the slideshow! I do miss seeing your face at the top though. Also it didnt slow down the regular blog stuff, just the slide show took a little bit to load up with my cable connection. Adelle- mnhyrkas on SCS

  2. Ok, signed up, downloaded and created a slideshow. Now how do I get it from there to my blog? I can't find any instructions on how to do this. TIA, Rita
