{ sarah's stampers seven }

Since I am no longer a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator I decided to join Sarah Froese's monthly stampers club. Last week was our first class and these are the 2 projects we made. The first card is made using a set from the Holiday Mini called Ornamasortments... or something like that. To color the ornaments we scribbled on them with watercolor pencil crayons and then spread the color around with a blender pen. Then we added dazzling diamonds with a 2-way glue pen. To layer the circles nicely like that we first stamped & colored the images and then punched them out. You turn the punch over so you can center the image within the punch. Then we attached the white stamped circle to the dark blue paper and then punched the dark blue with the larger circle punch. I love this little tip for layering punches! My new SU demo is awesome. :-)

The second card we did was a new-to-me fold called a "Joy-fold"... I am guessing someone named Joy came up with this? Anyway, it was really fun to do! The technique we used for stamping the roses is misting, also known as impressionistic or expressionistic watercolor. I'd done this technique before, but it's one of my favorites so it was fun to do it again!

Next month I get the fun of being the hostess, which includes trying to collect outside orders so I can bump up my hostess benefits. Soooo.... if you're wanting any SU, let me know!! ;-)

  1. Love both of these Cindy! Can you share the fold technique. And how do you do the 'misting'? Do you mist the stamp before you stamp the cs or do you do it after you stamp the cs? Thanks for sharing these!
