{ birthday card }

I hope you're not reading this Amy, or you'll get a sneak peek of your birthday card!

Today I got a wonderful package in the mail from Wendy for the design work I do for her. I am so impressed with the goodies that I had to make a card immediately! She sent me a package of Basic Grey Undressed Monogram letters, a variety of velvet ribbons, a beautiful flower stamp and an assortment of luscious patterned papers. Thank you so much, Wendy!

To make this card I stamped the flower using the rock & roll technique with Cranberry Crisp and Bravo Burgundy inks, then I stippled So Saffron in the center. It wasn't quite yellow enough for me, so I stamped another flower in yellow and punched out the center with a circle punch. I then put a clear button with a hemp knot tied in it over that circle.

The chipboard "b" has been inked with Bravo Burgundy craft ink. The background is stamped on glossy white card stock. All of the edges have been distressed with a Tim Holtz distressing tool. Everything is adhered with pop dots to give it a nice 3D effect.
